SYESHA MERCADO

Syesha recently appeared as Ti Moune in the revival of Once on This Island at the Papermill Playhouse. Best known for her showing on season seven of Fox's American Idol, finishing as second runner-up, Syesha went on to perform in the 2008 American Idols Live! Tour, and later played Deena Jones in the national/international tour of Dreamgirls in which she was nominated for the Chicago's Black Theatre Alliance Award. In 2011, she made her feature-film debut in Dreams and recorded her first, self-titled extended-play release. Syesha is grateful to her family and friends for their continued support.
